We received our first retail Core i7 920 D0 stepping from our supplier and we have been testing it thoroughly on Asus Rampage2 Gene.
Our 1st Core i7 D0 ES sample was really good but not as good as the new retail wich resulted in a final CPU speed of 4.802MHz with only 1.576v and we used a Thermalright Ultra 120 RT with a San Ace 102CFM (room temp @ 26c)
Looks great so far, these later batch i7 are great overclockers ^^.
We are still testing and will have a full article up soon

So, after much deliberation I decided to go out and get a 4890 – my intentions of writing a review were a sidestep – I do enjoy writing, as it does have a nice advantage of improving my personal skils.
Anyhow, back on topic – It arrived Thursday, in a shiny plain box – After taking it home, I finally got around to installing it over the weekend.
Overall, it would be a nice increase in performance over my 4850, and well – it’d be something to review!

This unit fits in your 5.25 inch CD-Rom bay and requires one only one SATA power cable. So far the speeds have met and even exceeded Solid State Drive speeds. I will have full benchmarks and review posted later this month so keep tuned.
Some of the key features:
8 DDR2 Dimm Slots
Battery Backup
Dual SATA 3.0Gbps ports
Up to 64GB of memory

This is a Phenom II 945 from Japan. The sample I have was sent directly from AMD as a review sample.
I had it up to 4090MHz at around 1.44 volts, all done with air. It seems to be on par with what is achievable with the 955. Check out the two shots below to see the results:

The way you will see me do reviews here will differ from the norm. You will never see me do a review at stock speeds…..There are plenty of review sites that already do that……What I do is start where they leave off, the overclocked and extreme overclocked results……Reviews for Overclockers by Overclockers.
If a product line has a prior known weakness I will exploit it, in this case Gigabyte’s AMD boards have not been to ram clocking friendly so I decided to put...

The EVGA X58 3X SLI Classified has been much heralded in the enthusiast and overclocking forums and for very good reason. This particular 965 was only able to clock to around 5040MHz on both the EVGA X58 3X SLI and DFI X58-T3eH8 for 32M SPi. On the Classified, however, I was able to push this processor almost 100MHz more at the same pot temperature of around -75C. This extra 100MHz mated with a solid set of Corsair Dominator-GT 3×2GB DDR3-1866 7-8-7 memory, got me below the 7 minute mar...
