Just wanted to give you readers a heads up of some of the products I have lined up for review. This is the Acard ANS-9010 ram drive. This unit fits in your 5.25 inch CD-Rom bay and requires one only one SATA power cable. So far the speeds have met and even exceeded Solid State Drive speeds. I will have full benchmarks and review posted later this month so keep tuned.
Some of the key features:
- 8 DDR2 Dimm Slots
- Battery Backup
- Dual SATA 3.0Gbps ports
- Up to 64GB of memory
- Auto data backup to Compact Flash card

That’s gonna be hot. Somewhere to put your DDR2’s after you upgrade!
so is this basically a SSD?
Wow. I am looking forward to seeing the STR and access times
Theretically it should be SERIOUSLY faster than an SDD and with a greater MTBF
(And with the warranties offered today, a lifetime guarantee on your storage devices heh heh)
