Chew*, a prominent  TechREACTION community member, has used an old Prometeia Mach 1 phase-change cooling system to take a new budget Athlon II X2 255 CPU to it’s limits!  Chew* wanted to show what the average user could achieve with this chip, and while Chew* is anything but average when it comes to tweaking, he did his best to dumb his results down for the rest of us. 

Starting with aircooling, he was able to net some impressive results.  However, the real treat was when he slapped on the Mach 1 and let the chip fly, taking the 3.1GHz stock chip to an impressive 4.8GHz for a suicide shot!
