EVGA has sent us their first factory overclocked GTX 570 card to hit the market. The SuperClocked edition of the GTX 570 will be followed by two more factory overclocked editions, the SSC and FTW. The latter two have not yet reached the marketplace, so until then, the EVGA GTX 570 SC will have to quench our thirst for a powerful GTX 570 graphics card. The GTX 570 is supposed to bring improvements in power consumption and temperatures using the new GF110 architecture. We will be sure to test ...

Another addition to the MSI Lightning line is the GTX 480, which we will be reviewing today. MSI has slightly overclocked the GTX 480 Lightning by 50 Mhz on the core and 75 Mhz on the memory. This is also not a reference designed card from MSI. They have installed improved voltage controller circuitry and to help cool it all off they have tossed on their custom Twin Frozr III dual fan cooling solution. They have also added dual BIOS, voltage measuring points, and the ability to change three volt...

Solid State Drives are quickly becoming an important upgrade in most consumer PCs. They offer increased performance with decreased power consumption and heat, and are smaller and lighter than standard mechanical drives.
Corsair has been making high speed memory modules since 1994, so for them the move to NAND based storage systems seems almost expected. Corsair is not only known for their memory devices, however. Over the last couple of years they have expanded their lineup, bringing power suppl...

I was really surprised to see what these lovely sticks did today. This is the Mushkin Ridgeback 1600MHz 6-8-6-24 kit. On AMD, it is extremely difficult to run any ram above 2000MHz. Well today I broke a personal record and clocked these sticks all the way up to 2240MHz 8-10-6-15-1T. I used my trusty Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5 & Phenom II X6 1090T Setup.
I did not expect these results at all, actually I did not expect my IMC to allow speeds this high. Turns out I have a great hardware combina...

I’ve been using this Dell Optiplex for awhile now. It acts as my spare rig to use while I’m benching my other one, and I also use it for word processing and other simple tasks.
I was just looking at the CPU-Z screen out of curiosity today, when I realized that an overclock on this machine is potentially possible. I was reminiscing on my A64 4200+ X2 HP days, when I managed to overclock the CPU 300MHz over stock using nothing but software (my very first overclock). Eventually I ...

Silverstone created an interesting drive bay product, the TS03. This product has the ability to accommodate a slim optical drive and supports hot-swapping a 2.5” SATA drive without the use of screws. That will make swapping drives in and out painless and very fast. It also provides two very accessible USB 2.0 ports in the front. This collection of features could make the TS03 a great choice for maximizing multimedia and storage capabilities if you are in a crunch. This could be an excellent...
