The hunter has been released, again, but most people will come to know it as the GTX 560 Ti. The Ti on the end may bring back memories to many of the old-school gamers. Around 2002, Nvidia came out with the Ti line. First with the GeForce 3 series and later with the GeForce 4, however, it disappeared shortly thereafter. But now it is back with a vengeance on the GTX 560 line of cards. Of course, this premium line of cards will go for a little more money, but hopefully the performance makes it worth the extra green. For all of those who happen to be curious and are not into gaming, the Ti stands for Titanium. The GTX 560 is, in a way, a refreshed GTX 460 and is ready to take up where the 460 left off. The GTX 560 boasts some brand new silicon, the GF114, along with 384 CUDA cores and 8 Polymorph engines. Now that we have the introduction out of the way, let’s toss the hunter on to the torture rack and see if he will survive!

@ben
What PSU was it?
I found out the hard way. The wattage is not the most important part of the power supply requirement. Amperage is the most important part of the power supply. I had to return my PNY geforce gt 450 because I did not have enough amperage. Why does nvidia not post the amperage required to run the card?
Its all kinda naysay but I think the 6970 will do better with the new leaked drivers, in any case it does not matter until a comparison can be made in the same testing environment.
I have not tested the 6950 yet, so I cannot comment on it. I do not base my opinions off other peoples charts so until I get around to reviewing it, I will hold off on an opinion. From what I have seen, the 6970 with the drivers used was awful, and this leads me to believe the 6950 could not be any better than that.
I am confused on why you would bring up the 6870 BE, of course it is not as good and of course it would/should be cheaper.
Now if you would like to send me all these cards you bring up, I would be happy to review them myself and form my own conclusion.
I edited your post to remove your blatant advertising of your blog and twitter. Comments are great, commenting simply for the sake of advertising is not.
Also released today is HD 6950… the comparison tests show that ATI’s card is as good if not better than new GTX. Any comment on that?
Another card released today XFX HD 6870 Black Edition (overclocked 6870) which is not as good as 560 but it costs less.
I have the link to the benchmark/comparison between the video cards and hint on how consumers will benefit in my blog.
