[Review] Swiftech Polaris 120

Conclusion:

Swiftech promised to deliver a good bang for your buck product and they delivered. Swiftech considers this an entry into the mainstream air cooling market and for a mainstream product the Polaris 120 delivered on it’s promise, at least on the performance side. This also keeps us hoping that Swiftech will follow up with more products in this department and hopefully also have candidates for the enthusiast and high-end markets.

The Swiftech Polaris 120 is now available for about $50-$60 US dollars, however the official MSRP is $59.95. This is a bit on the high side for a mainstream product, but its performance is not disappointing making your money well invested.

The new design features work out well for Swiftech and overall this is a very well optimized and versatile package. The air channel design has proven its effectiveness and it is obvious that Swiftech has done their homework, which can be observed by how well the Polaris 120 is optimized.

The Swiftech Polaris 120 receives the TechREACTION.net Gold Silicon Award!

You can purchase the Swiftech Polaris 120 at Swiftech’s online store directly, or at various other online retailers such as Performance-PCs!

The CM Hyper N520 is an interesting cooler with a very different design.
It claims accelerated airflow via offset fan placement.
Even thought I would rather have my money on sunbeam’s ISO-Turbo fan idea,
shown in the Twister 120, this would also be nice to explore.

This unit looks so much like my new COOLER MASTER Hyper N 520 RR-920-N520-GP 92mm Sleeve CPU Cooler Intel Core i7 compatible

I wonder if it is the same cooler.. I haven’t really studied for difference but at first glance they look the same except for more fin area on the Cooler Master.

With a Name like SwiftTech, it has to be good.
