[Review] Bitfenix Colossus Window Venom Edition

A look at the Bitfenix Colossus Window Venom Edition:

With the Venom Window Edition, you will get a smoked colored window with an option of having two 120mm fans installed within for better fresh air intake. The bottom of the case also shows off the PSU intake dust filter and another 140mm/120mm area for another intake fan.

The back of the Venom has four pre-cut holes to help with wire routing and water cooling tubing out of the back. You also will have another 140mm/120mm fan option to install on the back panel to help with exhaust.

The top provides a massive 230mm fan for releasing excess heat. The front comes with built-in wire management to route wires along the side and keep them out of sight when using the top I/O ports. The I/O ports consist of four USB 2.0, eSATA and audio connections, which has the ability to be locked for a little extra security if you want to leave a phone, mice, headset or other devices plugged in. Three of the five buttons are the power/reset buttons and LED control buttons so you can turn the LED’s on and off, depending on your needs.

I personally think about the reason why you labeled this specific blog post, “[Review] Bitfenix Colossus Window Venom Edition | TechREACTION”.

No matter what I enjoyed it!Thanks-Lamar

Where did you buy it ?

This is indeed the Colossus Window Venom Edition. “Venom” just denotes the color, which is black with green lighting. The reason why the BitFenix website lists a Colossus and Colossus Venom edition is because the original Colossus only came in White/Blue and Black/Red, the Black/Green option was added later. The Black/Green version of the Colossus Window is called “Colossus Window Venom”.

Yes, I *did* like the review.
To be fair, Performance-PC’s also have it advertised incorrectly.
Further, you can buy the windowed side panel at the Bitfenix website for 20 USD, so you can, in fact, create your own Colossus Venom Window Edition.
:)

Good catch GB. Not sure why I had it correct in the article but wrong in the title. I blame the editor :)

Hope you liked the article overall minus the one mishap

I suspect that what you reviewed is not the Colossus Venom Edition, but the Colossus Window.
The Bitfenix website lists a Colossus, a Colossus Window and the Colossus Venom edition.
They do not list a Colossus Venom Window edition.
The Colossus Venom features USB 3.0 connections and multi-color LED lighting.

The box you picture is the Colossus Window.
The specs you list are also from the Colossus Window Edition, not the Colossus Venom Edition.
