With just a glance inside, you can easily see that there will be no problem routing your wires and keeping the installation clean. With the more than eight double-wide pre-cut holes, you will have plenty of options on how you would like to route your wires to have a great-looking and uncluttered build.
With everything installed in the case, you can see just how well the 650D does in keeping the installation clean. This is always good, because it will help limit the blockage of air flow, which, given the massive 200mm intake fan, could contribute to some serious turbulence.
Installing the motherboard was quick, as Corsair already installed the motherboard spacers. All we needed to do was line up our motherboard holes and use the provided screws to secure it.
To use the hot-swap bay on the top, align back of your drive with the connections in the 650D. Then just slide it down until you feel it connect and you are ready to go.
Installing your optical drives is easy with the tool-free installation. Pop the tab out to slide in your drive, and then push it back to the default position to lock it securely.
Installing PCI cards is quick and easy with the thumbscrews utilized by the 650D. The thumbscrews help securely lock in your PCI cards, unlike some of the cheap plastic locking mechanisms we have seen before.
Installing your 3.5″ and 2.5″ drives is, once again, easy with the tool-free sliders provided by Corsair. The 3.5″ drives just need to be lined up with the prongs on the side of the slider, as you see in the pictures. The 2.5″ drives will need to be secured to the sliders by using four screws after aligning them with the holes on the bottom of the slider.
Another thing we need to point out is the removable hard drive cage in the 650D. This will allow you to install the ridiculously long video cards that are most assuredly coming in the next year or so.
The power supply intake dust filter slides in and out for easy access to quickly clean it when it gets dirty. The synthetic fiber is a great filter to help keep most the dust out of the 650D.
The front dust filter pops off easily for quick and easy cleaning when it is needed. It’s also made out of the synthetic fiber, which is, in our opinion, the best type you can get in a case.
