Components

The iBuyPower Gamer Power BTS 11, as  mentioned earlier, is running an Intel i5 2500k processor using a Gigabyte P67A-D3-B3 motherboard, a Palit Nvidia GTX 550ti video card, 8GB of DDR3 1333 (2×2) RAM, a 750GB Western Digital 7500RPM hard drive, and a 24x DVD+/-RW and CD-RW combo drive all being powered by a Xion 700w power supply unit.  As mentioned earlier, the i5 2500k is water cooled using iBuyPower’s own water cooling solution.

As you can see, the RAM sticks do not have heat spreaders. In general, they’re not really needed unless you are trying to push your RAM really hard. For the purpose this particular rig is made for – gaming – the absence of heat spreaders on the sticks is acceptable.

The water cooling solution used does not require you to fill the system with coolant, as it comes pre-filled. So all you have to do is plug the rig in, and you are ready to go.
