[Review] Raidmax Blackstorm

The Raidmax Blackstorm

The Blackstorm is accented with eye-catching blue highlights throughout the case, and you get your first glimpse of it here on the front panel. The bay drive covers easily pop off with the tabs on the right side, as you can see. On the side, it sports the one-click side panel and the mounting points for the optional 120/180mm fan as well.

On the back, you will notice the PSU is oriented at the top of the chassis instead of what has become the more conventional position at the bottom. There is also a 120mm exhaust fan behind where the CPU HSF will sit. The other side panel also sports a one-move entry as well, which we will go into greater detail later on concerning the neat installation help it provides.

The top I/O ports come with 2 USB 2.0, 1 e-SATA, and audio ports, as well as the power and reset buttons. [Editor's Note: You wouldn't be the first person to remark that the I/O panel looks a little... surprised.]

Raidmax Blackstorm ATX Mid Tower Case Review | Computer hardware review

[...] The Raidmax BLACKSTORM case attempts to make assembling a system easier than ever before. It has a modular, tool-free design that makes the initial build and future upgrades simple. Both side panels latch into place for ease of access, so it could be for you as it is the latest version of one-click side panel case. A 120mm fan is mounted on the front of the case to draw cool air in and blow it across the hard drives, along with a 180mm optional fan on the side, and a pair of rear-mounted 120mm exhaust fans, all of which work in concert to keep the air moving Keep it cool and keep it functional is what the Blackstorm strives for, but will it?
