At standard clocks, the ETS-T40 is an excellent and very quiet cooler.The cooler performed best with our San Ace fans, followed by the stock fan and the Gentle Typhoon coming in with the highest temperature. For users not looking to overclock, the fan provided with the Enermax ETS-T40 is an excellent choice as it is relatively silent and a solid performer.
HSF Comparison Chart – 3.6 GHz
When lightly overclocked, the ETS-T40 holds up to the completion as far as temperature, but remember the ETS-T40 did throttle with the stock and Gentle Typhoon fans.
HSF Comparison Chart – 4.0 GHz
With a heavy overclock, the ETS-T40 could not hold up against our rigorous 4GHz / 1.4v overclock, and throttling did occur.
