And now, our first glance into the Raider, and wouldn’t you know it, they still use a great wire management system! This one has been modified for the Raider, but is still very good, offering four pre-cut holes with rubber grommets on them to help hide your wires.
With the system fully built, the Raider does a very good job helping clean up the installation. This will help with air flow in the case and keep your hardware temperatures lower than a congested case. Notice, we did have to take the HDD wall out of the top section for out 480 to fit. That is exactly how this feature is meant to perform, and works to perfection in this case. Overall, the Raider did a great job with the wire management keeping all the excess wires out of the way.
With the motherboard spacers installed for us, we placed our motherboard inside the Raider and aligned the screw holes with the spacers. When we got everything in line, we used our trusty ol’ screwdriver to secure the motherboard.
Installing the PCI cards will be easy with the tool-free thumbscrews Bitfenix has supplied. They will lock your cards down nice and tight just like the old school screws do, minus having to deal with a screwdriver.
Installing the 2.5″ and 3.5″ drives is simple enough. For the 2.5″ drives, you will just need to line up the four holes on the slider with the screw holes on the bottom of the 2.5″ drive and then secure it into place with the provided screws. For the 3.5″ drive, you will just need to place the slider tabs into the side screw holes and it will be secured into place.
For installing the 5.25″ devices, all you will need to do is pop back the locking mechanism, as you see above, then slide in your drive and press the locking mechanism back in to lock your device in place.
The bottom of the case has two sliding filters to help keep out unwanted dust from the PSU and another possible intake fan, if you decide to add one. The filters are easily removed for cleaning the dust that does accumulate on them.
The front panel is fully covered in a nice foam dust filter that will help keep out unwanted dust while the front intake fans bring in fresh air.
