The Corsair Carbide 500R:
The Corsair 500R is another great looking switch from the norm. Corsair has opted to go with a white/black scheme instead of their normal all black. The front is all mesh over the drive bays and intake fans at the bottom, plus the I/O is also placed on the front as well, instead of the top. On the side panel, Corsair has placed a big 200mm intake fan which can be replaced with two 120/140mm fans if you want to go down that road.
The back has your basic look with the 120mm exhaust fan and the four pre-cut holes to help with routing wires and tubing inside and out of the 500R.
The top I/O section sports: two USB 3.0 connectors, one Firewire connector, 3.5” headphone and microphone connector, power and reset switches, fan speed switch, and a fan LED on/off switch.
The top mesh panel pops off easily to grant you access to the top area for installing 140mm fans or possibly a 280mm radiator.
