H100 Pump and Contact area

Corsair Hydro Series™ integrate the pump of the cooling unit into the contact area. Like other all in one cooling solutions this is not serviceable hardware. The contact area comes with pre applied thermal paste. The milling on the contact area is fairly smooth and relatively unreflective.

H100 4-pin molex
H100 4-pin molex

The Top of the Corsair H100 features a gloss black area with 3 LEDs to designate fan speed which is adjustable using the button in the center. The H100 is powered by a single 4 pin molex cable which was found to be very easy to feed behind the motherboard. There is also a 3pin connector to keep the motherboard from showing an error when no fan is present.

Corsair Hydro Series™ Link Digital Port

One innovation of Corsair’s Hydro Series™ product line is the inclusion of the proprietary Link Digital Port. This port can be used to reprogram the profiles built into Hydro Series™ products. Unfortunately a unit was not included with the review sample and TechREACTION will be unable to comment on this feature.

H100 pump alarm

The Corsair H100 features a built in pump alarm in case of failure, or the user for what ever reason forgets to plug the pump back in after servicing their rig.

4x 4-Wire/3-Wire PWM fan headers

The H100 is equipped to handle four 4-pin/3-pin PWM fans. Making the H100 a fan control unit as well as Water Cooling Unit.

H100 adjustable tubing
H100 adjustable tubing

One of the most satisfying features about the H100 for me as a reviewer is the use of 90 degree connections for the tubing. The H100 tubing can be adjusted 180 degrees to route around heatsinks, ram and whatever else is in your case.

H100 Radiator

240mm Aluminum Radiator
240mm Aluminum Radiator

The size of the H100 Radiator is quite striking. The 280mm radiator is about the size of a HD6950 video card. The Aluminum radiator is prepared to accept four 120mm fans and includes two. If I had to make a criticism to the sample, it would be that the fins in the radiator are not placed perfectly (something you will never see because of the cooling fans).

H100 heatsink thickness

The Corsair H100′s radiator is actually quite thin, as thin as the included fans. This was a great decision on Corsair’s part, as this way users can upgrade to a push/pull configuration even in cases that have limited clearance.

2x 12V, .35A, 2600rpm, 120mm fans (CF12S25SH12A)

The two fans included with the H100 are rated at:

  • 12V, .35A
  • 2600RPM
  • Model Number: CF12S25SH12A
H100 retention bracket

The H100 retention bracket for Intel 755/1155/1156/1366 is incredibly simple. The backplate above is screwed to the H100 using 4 washers, 4 pass through screws, and 4 thumb screws. There was actually not a manual included for installation, it is that straight forward.

Included are 8 screws to attach the fans to the radiator.

  • 4 thumb screws

Hey Tim!
Thanks for the heads up, the link (and copy) is fixed; I will be more vigilant in the future to make sure this does not happen again.
