The Xornet Gaming Mouse is a good gaming mouse to use we feel. It’s comfortable to use, the button response is good, the anti slip technology works well, and the mouse isn’t hard on the eyes.
Now would we call it a pro level gaming mouse? Well in our experience pro gamers, especially FPS gamers, like to have the ability to tweak the settings of their peripherals. As such we wouldn’t necessarily call the Xornet a pro level mouse in terms of available options. However performance wise it does come close to pro levels. We don’t see pro gamers having too much of an issue trying out the Xornet, and liking its performance, especially the Anti Slip tech, but we do feel if given the choice they would opt for a mouse with more tweak setting options.
The fact that the mouse is smaller then many gaming mice on the market, and it has a max DPI of 2000 maybe a turn off to some. However we don’t feel these things to be too much of an issue as there are gaming mice which are considered good gaming mice who’s DPI max out at 2000 DPI like the Microsoft Sidewinder X3, and X5 for example. Now the size of the Xornet being an issue for people with the hands of giants (no offense) we can understand. No one wants a mouse where they feel they need to scrunch up their fingers to use properly. The mouse isn’t the size of a flash drive, but we do understand the concern. For those people, and we really hate to say this, all we can say is you should look elsewhere.
Excluding the fact that people with the hands of a Yeti (yea yea I know bad joke) shouldn’t really use this mouse, we feel that the performance the Xornet has shown, and its design deserves our Gold Award. Some may say we are being a bit too generous by giving the mouse our Gold Award, but in all honesty the Xornet is in our opinion way up there with gaming mice in its category. Give it a try if you can, and let us know if the Gold Award was unwarranted, and why. We looooooove feedback. No seriously we do.
If you are interested in the Xornet you can find it at e-retailers like Amazon.com for $44.00 USD. Laterz guys, and gals.
