[Review] Gigabyte Z77X-UD5H “Warhorse to Workhorse!”

Introduction

The Gigabyte UD5 moves well past the level of standard low end boards and is solidly embedded in the mid ranges area. Though it is the same price as the recently reviewed G1.Sniper M3 its functionality is very different and that is where we are going to go with this review; functionality. We are going to look at  getting the job done as that is more important to most users than overclocking, getting gold medals at HWBot or setting records. We want this board to sweat!

We will be moving beyond the CPU, GPU and memory tests alone. We will not consider the transfer rate of one drive or the performance of one raid. We will focus on no single item here. We will try to focus on all things at one time to find out if Gigabyte can deliver up some motherboard multitasking?

But how does the motherboard have anything to do with multitasking? We will get there; but first the basics.
