Diablotek Cyclops

Air Flow:

The top of the case comes with two 120mm fans and one 120mm fan on the back panel to help alleviate heat.

The front 120mm fan will help cool the case by bringing in fresh air to circulate through the Cyclops.

The side 140mm fan will bring in a lot of fresh air over your hardware to keep it nice and cool.

LED Lighting:

The blue LED lighting helps bring everything together for the Cyclops. The LED’s fit with the overall look, or Transformer look.  Here Diablotek did a good job.

Conclusion:

The Diablotek Cyclops does sport USB 3.0 and provides a solid amount of airflow. The mostly tool free installation made everything go quick and easy, which was really nice. The LED lighting does add a little extra to the Cyclops and helps it stand out in the crowd. Diablotek has also added some nice dust filters on the front and bottom of the Cyclops, but the side fan is lacking.

There are, however, a few problems with the Cyclops. The wire management was alright, but as we mentioned earlier, most of the problems could be alleviated with a modular PSU. Another thing which we are worried about is the tightness of our GTX 480 along the drive bay area. If we were to run SLI or Tri-SLI we would really be hurting for enough bay areas to put our hard drives. Also, with the 3.5″ and 2.5″ installation, you will need those bay adapters to make use of your drives and secure them properly. This annoyed us as it limits the possibilities with this case. We really wish they would have added  two segments at least of drive bays and possibly making one able to be removed in order to help with space concerns on GPU’s.

Overall, the Cyclops was a nice mid-tower, but for an MSRP of around $70, there are better options out there.  This case will work unless you are building a small gaming rig where you are not planning on running big GPU’s and only one or two hard drives. If you are not planning a big build, then the Cyclops could be added to your list of cases to check out.
