The Walker Junior Headset:

The Walker Juniors have a stitched X or plus sign, whatever you want to take it as. As you can see, the headset is all black, minus the ear-cup designs.

On the bottom of the ear-cup you can see the 3.5mm jack to connect to your music device. Simple and easy, plus you can unhook it while you are not using it to help keep the clutter down.

Each side is labeled with an L or R so you know which side to put on your head. Just above that is where you can see the headband expand or tighten depending on your heads size.

On the bottom of the right ear-cup is your on/off switch with a power LED to show you when it’s on. We will cover the battery install later on.

The synthetic leather pads will help keep hours of use pleasurable without hurting your ears.

The headband comes with two separate pads for your head. Each providing the comfort and support you need, but taking up the minimal amount of room.

The Walker Junior comes with a carrying bag, adapter, AAA battery and your 3.5mm connection cord.

Now on the left ear-cup you can insert your AAA battery to power on the Walker Junior headset and start your listening pleasure.

Sound Tests:

With the big selling point of this headset being noise canceling, we had to test that as we were skeptical. Putting it to the test, we actually had a trip we took them on and lucky us we got the annoying lady behind us on the plane who would not shut up. We could not wait for the plane to take off and reach proper altitude to tune her out.

We finally got to acceptable electronic usage altitude and fired up the headset. Shockingly it did help cancel her out, minus a few of her loud annoying laughs. We could not hear her high pitched voice that just sounded like nails being drug down a chalkboard. The clarity of the Walker Juniors’ was extremely good at all volume levels. Now putting the crisp sounds of the singers voices and instruments with the bass supplied by the Juniors’, it seems to be matched great together without it sounding too treble’ly or just full of bass that does not transition well with everything else.

Conclusion:

Well, what can we say? These headsets were possibly lifesavers! If, we had to listen to that lady the whole flight, there is a chance we would not be able to type this review. However, the Walker Juniors did such a great job, they turned her into an after thought once we reach altitude with the superb noise canceling on the Juniors’. The sound quality was some of the best we have heard in this price range! With an MSRP of $139.39, they do come with a premium, but a premium we feel would be worth it. The noise canceling on these alone would be worth it even if the sound was mediocre.

The I-Mego Walker Junior Noise Canceling headset receives the Techreaction.net Gold Silicon Award!
