Wire Management:

Once we opened up the P280, we saw a nice wire management system installed on the case. The four precut grommeted holes along the motherboard tray is good to see. This will give you plenty of options for routing your cables neatly around your case. Although, we will hold our final judgement until we get our system installed.

The routing of the cables with the precut holes did a great job with our cables giving our system a nice clean look once everything is installed. With the clean install it will help with the overall air flow in the case that will help keep your hardware cooler. The P280 did a great job with this as it it massive on the inside. It even makes our GTX 480 look small inside there, which is great as this case can handle any of the massive GPU’s on the market.

Installation:

Test System:

  • Abit IP35 Pro
  • WD 500GB
  • WD Scorpio 320GB
  • Zumax 750w PSU
  • ASUS 480
  • ASUS CD ROM
The motherboard installation is the same as all the others, screwdriver and supplied screws. Use them to secure the motherboard to the motherboard tray.
The PCI slots have thumbscrews to help secure your cards. These are great because it will make installing/uninstalling quick and easy.
The top part of the hard drive cage will let you install two 2.5″ drives. All you will need to do is slide them in there as the P280 has a compression locking mechanism in there and no screws are needed.
Installing the 2.5″ and 3.5″ is easy like all the other installations in the P280. For the 3.5″ drives just place on the rubber sound dampers on the HDD slider and use screws to attach it. For the 2.5″ drives just position it on the middle four screw holes and secure it with screws.

Dust Filtration:

The front panel comes with a big dust filter which will pop off easily when the time comes for cleaning.

The PSU area also has dust filter to help keep your PSU as clean as possible and can be taken off for cleaning as well.
