This is the product description for the subject of today’s review, the CM Storm Skorpion, and pretty much saved us from coming up with an introduction of our own : )
Lets see if the Skorpion really does help get rid of some headaches, PC gamers in particular face in regards to mice, or is it just a glorified paper weight.
Packaging & Closer Look
The Skorpion comes packaged in a black, and red box sporting the CM Storm, and Cooler Master logos. The designed of the box allows you to get a good look at the product before you decide to blop money down on it. Something we all can appreciate, and would like to see more of.
The Skorpion is protected by a hard plastic shell, and comes with a quick start guide.
And here is the Skorpion freed from its confines.
As you can see it resembles a scorpion, hence the name. The product is mostly black with the CM Storm logo shown in the middle. It stands on three legs which are removable, and made of hard plastic. The feet are composed of rubber which helps to not scratch up your PC user surface.
The Skorpion is weighted down with an iron core center. This provides great stability allowing the Skorpion to stay put when in use.
The part that resembles a scorpion’s tail is actually referred to as the arm, and houses your mouse cord via a long groove that runs the length of the arm. It is made of rubber which is strong enough to handle some really aggressive jerks of your mouse while at the same time provide very good flexibility.
