Hey everyone,
I’ve received a lot of Blogger applications over the past few days, but only a handful of those I feel actually meant to sign up for blogging. Do not confuse this blogger sign up form with the forum registration. They are NOT the same thing.
To enter into the Twitter contest, go to the forums and register there. Follow the steps in this post, and you will be entered to win.
Thanks for your participation.

Today I will be reviewing the illustrious Obsidian 800D case from Corsair. The Obsidian (now a series) represents Corsair’s first foray into the realm of computer cases. This is an area that up until now has had numerous players, less than a handful of those who could be considered dominant from the enthusiast’s point of view. Corsair faces stiff competition from the likes of Lian-Li, Silverstone and Coolermaster, all who have a great deal of experience and vast portfolio’...

Chew*, a prominent TechREACTION community member, has used an old Prometeia Mach 1 phase-change cooling system to take a new budget Athlon II X2 255 CPU to it’s limits! Chew* wanted to show what the average user could achieve with this chip, and while Chew* is anything but average when it comes to tweaking, he did his best to dumb his results down for the rest of us.
Starting with aircooling, he was able to net some impressive results. However, the real treat was when he slapped ...

MSI and Asus were both kind enough to give us some time yesterday. First, we headed to the MSI suite at the Wynn hotel. MSI had many of their products on display, but the real meat was the demonstration of the new P55 Big Bang Fuzion board based off of the Lucid Hydra chip.
Big Bang Fuzion
The Big Bang Fuzion and Trinergy are essentially identical boards with the only difference being their choice of logic. Both are P55 boards with top of the line PWM and capacitors, however the Trinerg...

I arrived at the airport the afternoon of the 6th and was greeted by an explosion of lights and sounds I had never seen before. THIS was Las Vegas! We arrived at Planet Hollywood (Jake and I), got changed and then headed out to the Corsair Party a club called LAVO. Corsair was kind enough to provide a full buffet with open bar, and there were several systems on display.
Corsair's new slogan... "ICE ICE BABY!"
Here were a few of the system’s on display. This one was p...

Resident Overclocker Chew* has been busy in his lab again today, and this time he has more than a few treats for us. First up is his review the Kingston Hyper-X KHX2000C8D3T1K3/3GX triple-channel memory kit. He purchased the kit retail from Newegg as an inexpensive set for use in benching, but what he got was more than he had bargained for. While the kit itself proved to be a solid performer, however the real surprise came as he was finishing up his testing.
Chew* decided to make a late ni...

Today we have a new review posted in the forums, again from our illustrious overclocker, Chew*. He has put a new kit from G.Skill to the test on the AMD AM3 platform and his results were especially interesting. The kit in question was the G.Skill F3-12800CL7D-4GBECO, which as the part number implies is part of G.Skill’s new ECO line of memory geared towards ultra low voltage for added longevity and power savings. Chew* mentions in his review that the kit proved to be tricky at first ...
