We received our first retail Core i7 920 D0 stepping from our supplier and we have been testing it thoroughly on Asus Rampage2 Gene.
Our 1st Core i7 D0 ES sample was really good but not as good as the new retail wich resulted in a final CPU speed of 4.802MHz with only 1.576v and we used a Thermalright Ultra 120 RT with a San Ace 102CFM (room temp @ 26c)
Looks great so far, these later batch i7 are great overclockers ^^.
We are still testing and will have a full article up soon
4802MHz
Phenom II X4 945, possible good overclocker?1 Comment By PcCI2iminalcloseAuthor: PcCI2iminalName: Jorge Kawano Email: mojo_rio@hotmail.com Site: About:See Authors Posts (3) on April 9, 2009
This is a Phenom II 945 from Japan. The sample I have was sent directly from AMD as a review sample.
I had it up to 4090MHz at around 1.44 volts, all done with air. It seems to be on par with what is achievable with the 955. Check out the two shots below to see the results:
