Pluses are many – great range, five operational modes, easy setup, small size, full power… We were able to take our signal and security with us out to close to 800′, surf the web and stream HD movies off of our media server at 600′ and have a backup router that is quick and easy to set up. There is no doubt that this small device can carry connectivity to the places you want to go.

So what is cloud computing?

Simply put it is not off site storage or on site NAS storage, it is not web based apps, it is not your SQL server client, it is not your media or file server.

It is all of your processing, storage and applications being handled by a virtual machine based in a server. It is Virtual machines that you assign properties to and designate the usage of: the CPU core count, memory (dynamic or static), Hard drive space (virtual or dynamic) as well as the software to be used; be that Excel, Word, accounting software, database software or your own software.
