Hey guys I am definitely going to be getting into LN2 but first I need to make my CPU pot ;)

A few questions I need answered before I can begin design:

whats the size of an i7? (to determine base Diameter so the pot can be universal)

What the the most important features of the interior design of the pot? should the base be very thin or rather thick?

once I get these answers I will begin my CAD designing

I prefer thick with staged drilled holes, this aids in holding a load under more stresfull benchmarks.

Idon't really have a know how on LN2 pots but K|ngP|n's Dragon F1 Extreme pot is sweet.

I found this article a good read which pits a few LN2 pots against eachother: http://www.madshrimps.be/?action=getarticle&number=1&artpage=3737&articID=876

thanks for the article, good stuff there.

chew*: do you have a pot in mind so I can see the feature in a picture?

Perfect base size is about 1.5inches square for making contact with the cpu.

Let me show you my first design, I think for Heavy load the base needs to be thicker with the holes drilled deeper but it still performs very good.

Not sure If you can see it in the picture but the holes are staged etc there are actually 2 depths, this aids in a more even distribution.

They are not a secret, I just need to post my CAD pics. I cannot access them here at work.

If you would like the Cad drawings please email me dolk89@gmail.com
