Day1

Just getting started ... taking everything off and letting the ideas flow :)

my plan of attack for at least the radiator ... going to have to cup the top left piece off the mobo tray to get the hoses to fit ...


Thoughts so far ...
Going to black out my case ... everything that is silver in the pics i am going to paint black.
on the outside panel i am thinking of some sort of water fall running down it to keep with the water theme or something that transitions into water... not sure on this yet.... any ideas out there?

gonna need an airbrush and stuff for this so i am trying to find a good deal on some good equipment at the moment ... any idea or help with that would be amazing too ...

i am also going with the feser blue UV liquid and sticking 2 (maybe 4) UV CCFLs in the case to get the nice shine out of the liquid ...

1st coat of primer but its getting all primed out ... no more silver :)
hell even the straight primer looks like a nice color haha :P

Thoughts for the day
Still need to cut the mesh for the rad and start the 1st and maybe 2nd black coats tomorrow ...
still need to find a cool font ... and make a mock up of what i plan on doing with it ...giving up on the waterfall for now and just going with the name on the case ...
bought me an spray gun and compressor today :) picks of them tomorrow ...
still waiting on my GPU block to get here

well after a long day of painting and drying and painting and drying and a little bit of cutting ... i am done for the day

Thoughts for the day
Ordered my new compression fittings and UV lights ...
going to finish painting the black tomorrow then whiles its drying off to the store to see if i can find me a nice blue to start working on the name
also thought of putting "D F" on the front 5 1/4 slot holder thing just for more jazz to the front ...
anyone know of any nice bright water based blues? like a neon blue or something?

Productive day finished all my painting with the black today ... just letting it dry till tomorrow and then ill start building the case sometime ...

Thoughts for the day
letting everything dry and hopefully tomorrow it will all be good to go and i can start building my case back ...
all my tubing and wiring dont get here till tuesday so i may get a day off before that fun stuff starts haha
fittings are on their way
finish cutting out the rest of the stencil to use for my letters ... this was a lot harder than i thought it would be haha

then wire my case up and should be good to go ... and i have not started wiring my case yet so dont worry most of those wires will be gone :)

Yes i know its a little dusty in there but i was just too excited when i finished to clean it right away haha I will wipe off all the finger prints and everything soon enough. I am just glad it is done and came out looking nice with the UV tubing and lights

Looks good. You should flip the pump though.. you have the inlet mounted horizontally, it is best to have it vertically. Although if it runs silently I guess it is doing okay :)

ya i have heard that, but its running super silent and i dont know how much of an improvement or anything i would see switching it. plus i have no idea where i would put it haha

I do have to drain my system here in the next couple days ... do yall see any place in the case i could mount it properly? The only thing i can see if on the edge of the HDD bay but then if i ever wanted to take them out or something i would be in for a battle. :/

Looking at the mounting bracket for the pump, shouldn't be too complicated to modify it. If you still want it resting on the bottom :)

I'm thinking two extra ~10cm metal bars mounted in an "L" in reference to the original "bars" where the pump screws to the bracket should do the trick.

Yah there is not really a way to bottom mount it and have it supported perfectly because of diameter of the pump housing. You will have to mount it to the front or side of the case somehow.

TBH I do not know why they came up with that design. I guess just leave it, it is recommended by most WC pros to have the inlet mounted vertically, but looking at those drawings...

well i was thinking about somewhere there before i stuck it on the bottom. However the pump would be connected to the back panel of the case and not something on the inside

as you can see from this pic there is only a little bit of it that is attached to this inside. So i was not sure if that would work out even though i really dont know when i would ever have to take that panel off, unless i change PSUs or had to rewire something
