What is your favorite brand of power supply, and why? Is it their warranty, their build quality, price? Tell us all about it. :)

I voted for Silverstone as I feel they build quality everything, have great customer service, and superb aesthetics.

i have to vote for pcp&c with the exception of the fan being a lil noisy... i have seen 3 seperate zeus 1200's die in the last year and not 1 pcp&c

PC Power & Cooling for me, never had a problem with the brand. Had to only replace one cause I fried it, and I went through the RMA process, it was extremly fast, they were very generous to exchange it, and never had a problem with them

*Also Enjoy, u should make it that you are able to select multiple selections

PC Power & Cooling for benching/server rigs.
Corsair HX series for 24/7 rigs.

I'm a corsair guy through thick and thin. PC P&C's false advertising and shameless promotion of single rail only designs pisses me off because a good multirail is as good or better than a single rail (see antec sig 850 for example)

Corsair, Silverstone, and PCPower and Cooling here.

when they were pushing that there were people with 400W and 4 rails and if u didnt split up everything up exactly right it would crash the computer, but with a high watt thats alot different

Damn, I knew I forgot someone big. Sorry. Vote for Topower and pretend it's coolermaster. :p

I was compelled to vote Antec because my Signature 850W is giving me the silent treatment. There's no whining, not even a little squealing, no nothing. I'm a bit worried due to the silence.
=\

But if Seasonic's performance had lately been upto their usual level they would've got the vote.

I think that's based on a Seasonic unit, right? Like the Muskin line.

You are correct mate.
The HX620 is built by Seasonic under Corsair's instructions regarding some components options.
Awesome quality unit in every aspect.

Gotta say seasonics... For all the other peoples that voted for corairs.. those should be added to seasonics.. All corairs use seasonic internals

All corairs use seasonic internalsCertainly not.
For example, the popular TX750, TX850 and HX1000 are made by Channel Well.

no coolermaster?

corsairs, even though they are pricey.

I voted for OCZ/PC Power & Cooling as they are powerfull, stable & reliable PSU's though they are also quite costly, especially the PCP&C stuff.

However i also like Tagan PSU's, which you havent listed as an option, as they have been rather reliable for me as well and yet are priced better.

Bear in mind the type of PSU purchased will also be dictated by geographical location / availability of the product and I don’t see much of them in the shops around here (Australia)

I used to have a Silverstone Olympia 1000... But I exchanged it for a Thermaltake 1200W . Wanted more juice for my system

Love my OCZ Stealthxstream 600w PSU. Been holding up well in gaming and what not for some time now. I would like to try a Corsair PSU tho, as i hear good things about em.

I can't believe I'm the only vote for Silverstone. Very shocked by this. :eek:I like SilverStone. I just like Corsair a bit more when money doesn't matter, so that's what I voted for. When money does matter, my first choice is either SilverStone or CoolerMaster (depending on how much money is available).

I said Corsair, because while I also like Coolermaster, (why arent they there?)
This current PSU is apparently giving 13v on the 12v line!
However I would also love one of those Antec Signatures.....
Although, anything with high energy efficiency is good in my books....

^ You need more options for the poll ^

I would've voted AOpen but they're missing :( Gigabyte's also not featured.

hx620 best psu i have ever owed. Its hard to say though because theres what you want and then theres what you have the coin for. Use to be a fan of antecs despite some bad models they rolled out. The coolmasters have being good as well for bang for buck, lolI think anything in the $80+ dollar range gets you something of a alright build some long as it hasnt got 2 jiggawatts and made in china sticker on it lol

I'm surprised nobody voted Zippy. I'll give it another 24 hours and if AOpen hasn't been added I'll vote Zippy.

Did not like my Corsair unit at all. Ran cool and quiet but the rails were hardly strong or stable.

Seasonic I voted, although the best PSU I ever had was an Enermax Galaxy.

Silverstone did not live up to my expectations, when I get around to it I will probably grab another Seasonic built PSU.

Usually I look at who makes the base unit or which design it uses. However for the past 3 years, this is what's worked flawless for me plus 2k times now (think 3 County's worth of medical and health institutes). I really don't care squat about brand but some do stick out in my regurgitated experience with me.

SeaSonic and then Corsair for up-to 700W. Typically I'd search for one of these first for any build and then look elsewhere (from the brands you listed). The why is too lengthy. :p

Zippy and then Enermax for anything 750W and above. NorthQ if the latter two don't have something solid in that range.

True, but then we need AOpen's OEM, FSP for their high end models.

Zippy got my vote! I might would have voted for Wintact though but only OCZ/PC Power and cooling was listed and I not supporting FSP:p. I wish the poll was of oem's instead of brands because the oem's are what matter the most anyways.

I think the problem is 90% of people don't know the OEMs. What's wrong with FSP? The AOpen 700w was made by them and it was one of the best power supplies of its day.

I'm going to quote directly from that link

In recent times, FSP has fallen quite a bit in my eyes thanks to the mediocre Epsilon platform

and then I'm going to reiterate what I said

The AOpen 700w was made by them and it was one of the best power supplies of its day

Don't crucify a brand because they were better. It's like saying DFI is a rubbish brand because none of their new boards are quite as dominant as the NF4 series was :)

The Aopen 700w is an FSP Epsilon:p
http://www.overclock.net/power-supplies/154057-jonnyguru-power-supply-buyers-guide-updated.html

Epsilon are not that bad but they are not that good either. I use to own a OCZ GameXStream 600w which is was an Epsilon and I had no problems with it. They are just not as good as a Wintact or a Zippy:up:

Also DFI nf4 is a bad example. I had two of them(Ultra-d and an Expert) both of the died and killed my processors.(Suicide Bombers:D)

I have a corsair but I'm leary after certain drivers for my 8800GTS would make my corsair create this horrible noise. So not sure if I should totally blame the corsair for not being able to deal with whatever or not. So far its been good. I like Rosewill too for budget stuff, never had a problem at all.
