I've been reading about it abit. Wanting to try it out for myself. Very curious as to what my D0 i7 will do under DICE with my DFI board.

What is the best performance/dollar lga1366 pot that you guys recommend? Preferably to work with LGA775 socket too, would love to see how far i can pull a q6700 and a e2160 as well. :)
Thanks in advance.

Where are you based? Theres a really good selection of pots in Europe. Shipping to the U.S. might hurt the value for money a bit...depending on what U.S. pot-makers can offer :)

I dont know if Otterauge has a "value line" but he does make some incredible pots. Hes based in Germany :)

I'm actually in the US. Is there not any reputable pots in the US? If i have to get it oversea.. i might if shipping isn't crazy expensive xD

For the money the Koolance pot is very good with DICE.

I use a Kingpin Dragon F1 EE, best pot IMO for LN2/DICE, but about twice the cost of the Koolance pot.

Hm.. this one right here?

http://www.koolance.com/water-cooling/product_info.php?product_id=832

Sorry, this is going to sound very noob.. What's the cooling difference between this and k|ngp|n's pot? the 20~ degree (random guess) drop i get over that will have this much of an impact on o/c?

i mean.. i'm guessing its prob -50~degree with DICE.

Unless you're aiming at World Records, top-end pots are pretty poor value for money compared to a competent mi-range pots... IMHO!! Theres a very old pot called a Chilly1- one of the first pots made for purpose and one of the first to have a "production run" If you can find one of those, they are really very good for starting out :) They were made in Vegas IIRC and were pretty cheap.

I cant think of so many pot-makers in the US other than Vince. Someone else will know of the options though

For starting out id suggest an Alu-Cu pot or brazed copper. Simpler, cheaper but not necessarily BAD in any way

That's the pot I was referring to from Koolance. I had a 2 piece pot when I started, and now use the F1 and see about a 15C difference in the two pots at load. The F1 being the colder of the two. It pretty much depends on what you want to spend.
