People that buy OEM systems think Linux was a Charlie Brown character, a registry is something you see at target to buy shower gifts, RAM is a Dodge truck and a hard drive is DC at rush hour.

Wow, I have not used a freezer pro 64 since my 4200 x2. Nice cooler though, needed a little fixing tohugh (was not well centered on the CPU) but great performance still.

Nice clocks Kev. Is that your biostar doing those high HTREFs?

    Thanks for the data.

Clocks pretty good then, in-line with what I've been expecting. Undervolting is OK, although the three others I've seen have achieved considerably lower stable at 1.00v to 1.10v.

Your board looks pretty good in terms of voltage regulation. Looks as if when you change VID to 1.275 it sets Vcc at 1.25v under load, which is excellent and similar to how it should work on every board.

On new MB and I must say 58w @ 3.4 idle temps ~23 with 123.75w @ 3.4 100% load all cores & GPU folding 100% load. I am having an issue with adjusting the v in BIOS (I cant) and have sent in a support request and hopefully I can get this build past 4.

It seems like you've been handed one of the real Propus dies, the AAC coded dies... the power efficient ones, contrary to the ones that are partially disabled Deneb dies.

LCs review went live, these buggers are extremely power efficient (like Q9x00 series Penryn) and they are generally anywhere from Agena to Deneb in performance per MHz while far lower in price/power: http://www.lostcircuits.com/mambo//i...id=64&Itemid=1

The clamp ammeter you have can measure sole CPU 12v power running through the rails too, if you try.

Best I can get is ~52.6 @ load during operation, but startup is higher at ~72 even? Go figure I work with 3 phase motors and panel boxes. Must be the inital OD just like a light bulb as it only spiked for a few secs.

    785GM-E65 HT ref

I cant seem to get the HT ref out of the 260's I have lowered everything and still no. Is there a weak clock generator on this board or is it in the BIOS (Idoubt it is the bios)?

Posted at OCA on this topic too.

Either a broken setting, just a bad bios, or crappy board overall.
