We feel that the Sabertooth 990FX will be a very desirable motherboard and expect this board to be available at the FX-series launch with a price around $220 (current price of P67 Sabertooth).

yeah that would look great in his camo case.

are they not using the "shield" on sabretooths anymore?

EDIT: NM looks liek the X58 did not have one either (bizzare, could have sworn it did)

I was kinda hoping for a few more pics too, and as for that Site... I was kinda wondering that too.

But yea, thats still a damned nice Board. Looking a little nicer then its Intel counterpart in the Sbertooth series.

Updated the first post with some more links to a couple other Reviews, and more Pics.

I read this boards color scheme is a little different from its Intel counterpart, they used different shades of green on it, and so I'm thinking this Board has a nice TechReaction theme going for it!

Hey with that in mind, any chance you guys could get an early release of this baby, claim its for a "Website review" and send it to Enigma and have him do a review on it for the site! LOL

Probably not, but hey that'd be awesome! LOL

    Bear in mind guys...

This is also only Asus' FIRST entry into the 990FX category.

I've read that its likely going to be in the 200 - 250 price range.

BUT; there is still a LOT of talk buzzing about the 'Net out there about a pending Crosshair V; possibly a GENE version added to the Crosshair line. So therefore, I would be expecting to see such a CH5 GENE to be in the 300 -400+ price range, and likely even nicer then this Sabortooth!

I would say, this Sabortooth, is likely their entry level 990FX; and then they'll have the "budget" 990GX boards in the 150 - 200 price range.

This is still one helluva beauty though!

No news on any release dates...

Probably won't be seeing it until the first to second weeks of June; likely right after AMD's "official" unveiling of the Bulldozer on the 11th.
