So I am working on an iMac

It's a powerpc based G5 with minimal RAM.

Anywho, gotta say, not seeing the joy.

Everything was so borked I just reinstalled OSX.

Now I am on my 5th Java update (each between 80 and 90MB in size...)

Oops it just finished, now there is another Java update to DL and install.

EDIT: oops and another, this one is small thanks goodness. Cant understand how the latest Java install is 16MB on windows? OMG another one this one back up to 100 MB in size. Hmm, I just Googled and looks like the 9th update will be the last. Wow about 650MB downloaded for java updates. :S

Why doesn't it just update completely the first time???

While the interface is sleek, this is one of the heaviest computers I have every seen. It feel comparable to my STC-T01 stacker with a 1000W Enermax galaxy PSU and complete system installed. Except this is not that much larger than a monitor!!

Despite the large screen size and nice linux style theme (or linux has OSX styled theme?) I am finding navigation and general operation a little annoying.

Interesting that it defaults to G5 version of iTunes but wont install it because I am running 10.4 not 10.5 OSX.

    *sigh

Gotta love this "it just works" Bulldozer I mean crap

This rant was entirely written a spell checked on a PC

Not sure when the PC was built but hte OS came out in 2005. So not to shabby, its usable even with no RAM just butt slow.

I will say I love those G5 cases, I don't care how much they weigh, i was going to mod one months ago but the person I was buying it from on Cragslist just stopped responding to my emails.

Sorry for the slowness though. :/
I like macs for working with ruby on rails, that's about all I prefer them for though.

    I am sorry
People that buy OEM systems think Linux was a Charlie Brown character, a registry is something you see at target to buy shower gifts, RAM is a Dodge truck and a hard drive is DC at rush hour.

I hate Macs and Mac OS. I do not find the UI to be intuitive at all and I cannot understand why some people love them, other than that they were simply never used to a Windows PC in the first place, so they really just learned the Mac first.
