    Talking AMD 965BE+790XT-UD4P+SS

    Hi guys,
havenīt any AMD CPU for 5 years ago. Now I bought one and started to test.
Here are my first results with little cold (-40 +/-4c).

    Components used:
    AMD Phenom II X4 965BE C3
    Gigabyte 790XT-UD4P
    2x2GB Kingston HyperX KHX1600C8D3T1K2/4GX

Have tried the CPU-Z validation and SPI 1M test for first

    CPU-Z - 5176,79MHz
    http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=919998

    SPI 1M - 13,797s(CPU-5037MHz, Mem-876MHz Cas8-9-8-24-40-2T)

The results are not final, I see a little improvement - time to play

Tommorow I will test some 3D stable frequencies too. So stay tunned

the board layout looks good - the slots, powering and all together are very good organised, the board overclocks very well - thats my opinions with this board tested within 2 days

    some results wprime 32M, 3D mark 06 and 05

for 3D tests I used an MSI N260GTX Lightning VGA for now at default frequencies

    wprime 32M - 4752MHz (7,828s)

    3D Mark 06 - 20633Marks(CPU skore 7166 points) (CPU-4725MHz)

    3D Mark 05 - 28046Marks (CPU-4752MHz)

The frequency of CPU while 3D Mark 05 could be a little improved because of better CPU temps while the mark is running. For 3D Mark 06 and Wprime 32M it looks like its the max for the CPU at these temps vs. voltage.

Now working on 3D Mark 03 and SPi 32M

Nice results, keep going! Those lightening cards are built like tanks. With LN2, they can do some serious MHz.

    a small update

OCed the VGA to 792core/1584shader/1050memory and a little CPU frequency improvement

    3D Mark 03 - 63535Marks (CPU-4837MHz)

    3D Mark 05 - 30276Marks (CPU-4837MHz)

the OCed vga with the same frequency of CPU maked 2K points more in 3D Mark 06, but havenīt the screenshot because it was corrupted - only the upper half of screenshot is seen

    22 489

tested SPI 32M on 1,6V and rerun SPi 1M with 1,6V on CPU

    SPI 32M - 14m 32s 765ms (CPU - 4876.3MHz, NB - 2968MHz)

    SPI 1M - 13s 735ms (CPU - 5075.8MHz, NB - 3024MHz)

now I am gona to play with the Intel platform a little under SS

Wow, 4.8GHz + on single stage WPrime is very impressive!

That is a great chip you've got there. What's the stepping? Week 44?

That is a very nice MB. I have that one and the Gigabyte 790XTA-UD5 doing USB3 tests atm.

For AMD these boards are the ones to get imo.
