Yeah it's a PITA to get to run esp. with 2 VGAs. Read some tutorials, it's pretty complex to explain.

4870X2 is back up BTW, temps have cooled way down here so I can fire it up again. Even if it brings my elec usage to >2kw/h lol.

Hold on a minute let me do some checks.

    What about multi-gpu support?

Yes, you can add the "-gpu N" flag (N starts at 0) to your extra parameters in the advanced page of the systray clients, or the advances settings of the console clients. Again N starts with 0 not 1, so your primary display is 0, the next is 1, etc. Each client if you are running more then one needs a different -gpu and a different machineD, and a different working directory, so follow the instructions for multiple clients.
For Tesla and other non-desktop cards, we have the "-forcegpu" flag, which will make the client ignore what it thinks the GPU is, but the core will not work if that card is unsupported, so use with caution. To use this flag you need to supply it with a gpu core type to use as an override. Currently these are ati_r600, ati_r700 and nvidia_g80. This flag may also help for headless multi-gpu setups on which the client refuses to acknowledge the presence of your GPUs. The -forcegpu flag can be use in conjunction with the -gpu flag to force the client to try and use the given gpuid. For example:
    Folding@home.exe -gpu 2 -forcegpu nvidia_g80
Would force the client to try and run the NVIDIA core on the 3rd (2 + 1) cuda enabled device in the system. Similarly:
    Folding@home.exe -gpu 3 -forcegpu ati_r600
Would force the client to try and run the ATI core on the 4th (3 + 1) CAL enabled device in the system.
For a more detailed set of instructions, please see these links

We will update our main FAQ in time with these details, but we are also working on ways to handle this from an installer directly.

People that buy OEM systems think Linux was a Charlie Brown character, a registry is something you see at target to buy shower gifts, RAM is a Dodge truck and a hard drive is DC at rush hour.

You may find a edited config file out there and all you would need to do is over write it.

well, after fighting several minutes a make 2 shortcuts in this way:

    [IMG]http://img189.imagesha
    ck.us/img189/3562/folding02.th.jpg[/IMG]

and I can run 2 instances of F@H.

    So, here is the question

Where says name and team, i read Core is not running now, that is normal?

And performance, I saw 3 differents numbers
    a) 1.00 iter/sec in both
    b) 85 iter/sec and 1.00 iter/sec
    c) 42.5 iter / secin both

    Thats normal?

And sorry for asking too much.

That is no problem ask away as it is the only way to find out.

My client's do that also both ATi and nVidia this is normal. After the data is received and verified the client will start to run. I also think the client is doing some testing.

As far as fluctuating iterations, yes this is normal.

Yes as it frees up the CPU for WCG

So does doing what I posted here.

Your PPD are lower with that client. For example, in that SS above you generate about 924PPD.
Here's what my 4870X2 does on the systray client:

Now ask yourself this... is my card really 7 times fasther than your card?

CPU utilization is 4-6% per GPU core on my HT cores of the i7.

Ahh I never paid it any mind I did use the console clients at first but thought the graphics were cool so I changed Guess I will go back.

I also had CPU usage set to 0 when I upped it bang so I will see how that does.

    Thanks archer.
