You scared to turn your HTPC on?

My main rig is powered by a onkyo receiver and a pair of polk bookshelves. I originally had a 80s built analog amp, I never used it. My speakers are totaly underpowered right now.

Yet when I crank it up my curtains dance too.

I really want to put them downstairs in hte house unit... so they get more play than they do now... but...

Anyone else have this issue? what did you do? I got kids galore in my setup.

I am scared to go half power and piss off the neighbors despite the awesome thump in my chest and groove to the tunes. I am also worried about kids poking the bumpers..
Beer drinking is like finger painting. When you are young, you do not care what you stick your fingers into as long as you got to do it. When you are older, eww Heineken? I really want a beer that comes from the factory skunked?

That is my issue. I have lost more than one speaker because of finger and pencil.

People that buy OEM systems think Linux was a Charlie Brown character, a registry is something you see at target to buy shower gifts, RAM is a Dodge truck and a hard drive is DC at rush hour.

my kids are all in college and out of college so I just go to my man cave and Hybernate. I don't have neighbor issues. My closest neighbor is pretty far away from me across the street. The others are not that close. or they work or play music just as loud on occasions themselves so we all just get along now, besides the train has us all tuning out loud annoying noises. Thank GOD.. anyway. Stay away from the kids with that HTPC Monster Curtain Cleaning unit. They will figure it out more than you will and they will be bouncing off the walls as the years go by.. Enjoy.. I don't envy you.

Hmm thats a good idea Wez. I suppose I could glue them on. The speakers came with half a wall mount unit (I have not removed them yet as you have to plug the holes when you do).

I have been using headphones and 2W monitor speakers lately LOL (on my main PC)
