how are they currently named? If a scraper or media manager cannot identify it based on a name, then you're SOL.
they are named like ... Psych-title1chapter2 or something like that. No real reference on what the episode is.

If you can equate that title with a disc/season/episode (using the DVD insert or cover), then you may be able to batch rename them, and then use media center master to fetch and rename each episode.
If you can find the series at thetvdb.com, you may be able to get a better idea of which disc/season/episode to use.
