    Oooooooh...nice chip man!

What volts does it take for 4.7 and 4.8, and what were the temps like under water?

    Very nice pedros!

    1.5v for 4.7GHz is sweet.

These ARE FAR from optimized ... so they could be working with less voltage ...
Enjoy... temps under water were like 82º in full load :x i just typed 1.5v in the bios and did the testing ... i just wanted to reach usable 4.5Ghz for daily use... that i did at 1.40vcore and 1.34vtt

I will try to optimize my 4.7Ghz config ... i though i was having problems with vcore, that's why i was pushing the voltage up ... but in the end it was the damn qpi that was way too high ... when i dropped ... bammm!

See, for example, my 4.5Ghz setup ... if i had my qpi voltage at 1.36v it wouldn't work ... i dropped to 1.34v ... voilá!

    People... one question...

    I have the possibility of getting a W3680 for a nice price. The seller has 2 cpu's... 3003B638 & 3026A740 batch.

Any ideas on which has more probabilities of being a good clocker? Or it's just a pure "fortune cookie" ?

Hmm, Neuro or Miah would be the two best to answer this question. I'd normally say it shouldn't matter much, and it shouldn't, but I may be wrong in this particular circumstance.

I cant tell you either. One might be better than the other.

Unlocked multi opens up a world of pain, (ohI so wish I was not 21X limited) don't forget your BCLK though. As always FSB is important on Intel

Retails samples, newer is safer especially if a revision has taken place. In this case, IIRC Intel codes, 6 months difference..)

Only way to play at the top end is get both bin it and find out.

Having said that, newer is not always better. So Take your pick and go from there (neither are ES? so both should perform similarly). Only ES sample hexas are pushing 6+ GHz on LN2.
