This issue appears on the GA-890GPA-UD3H rev 1 and 2 (Not sure about rev3)

It may happen out of the blue or never appear at all if you have this board, fortunately there is a simple fix that solves the problem.

Recently I turned my HTPC into a 24/7 daily rig, as I was upgrading from an unlocked Sempron 140 to a Thuban 1090T, I updated the BIOS to make sure there would be no issues.

Once I set memory to manual mode, even when replicating auto settings I would restart to get a "overclock failed" message.

The problem is in the TRFC values of unused DIMM slots.

My ram defaults to 160ns TRFC on the used slots and the unused slots default to 90ns, increasing the unused slots to 110ns allows manual settings to be setup for memory without getting an OC failed issue.

Hope this helps someone
