I was kinda hoping Apple would bring back the G1 Shuffle which was quite an awesome MP3 player with the intergrated USB plug... saves getting that annoying dock thingy. Too bad I lost mine :P)

I like it, having tried one out. You have to remember that there are controls on the headphone cord, which are all the standard ones (prevous/next, volume, etc.). Also the playlists is quite nice seeing as that was only thing stopping me from getting a shuffle.
It has a bit of a learning curve compared to the others but overall I like it better

I really don't like the iLine of products they have good looks and functionality but I think that software sucks (it did way back). I also feel that there is a possibility of some underhanded and illegal tactics being used with their partners ie. the docks only work with Apple and USB charging ports went away. Seems anti competitive.
Edit: I am in no way trashing the product as I like the looks and function. As the reason for the thread I think that in the end only sales will tell.

People that buy OEM systems think Linux was a Charlie Brown character, a registry is something you see at target to buy shower gifts, RAM is a Dodge truck and a hard drive is DC at rush hour.

I reckon the connector should be universal but then again, Apple has a monopoly on the market.

I like the overall design.. but hate the fact that the control is integrated on the earphones... in my experience, apple earbuds are
1) overpriced
2) crappy sound
3) tends to break easily..
and when it breaks.. you have to pay some odd $40~? for a new one.. that's half a shuffle there..
/facepalm.
