Default Biostar TA785GE 128M modded Bios X2@X4 ready for downloading

Fresh from NDA today we have the modded bios for the first Biostar 785G board.

grab this file here
http://www.4shared.com/file/12280804...128M_0720.html

Please ready before flashing
Set your system back to stock prior to flashing and after updating bios to the new one you just need to follow this steps
HT link @ 1.6GHz
ACC @ all cores
Value(all cores) @ -2%

and of course its work

but haven't tested it much as Nehalem was keeping me occupied ,so today I decided to give cold to hit the MAGIC6 with a X2 @ quad and using a pocket board

you would like to try it at your own risk

Why does Biostar only list A785GE (95W TDP CPU max) on their site and not this board you have?

Any mod BIOS for that?

Thanks for the data.

Toss it on a floppy, boot from the floppy and run awdflash.

Alternatively, you can burn an iso image if one exists and do the same thing.

Or lastly, turn your USB flash drive into a bootable disk by following this guide here: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=246530

Default Unloack AMD Phenom II X2 545 on Biostar TA785G3

Hi,

I have been reading a lot about unlocking AMD cores. I have AMD Phenom II X2 545 CPU and Biostar TA785G3 mobo. I saw that TA785G3 is still not verified for unlocking cores on http://www.overclock.net/amd-cpus/53...ing-guide.html

I have updated to the latest BIOS version found at official Biostar Website . The site says "Support F6 unlocking version". 1. WHat exactly does this mean ?

I am attaching the varies necessary screens of my Bios, please instruct me on how to unlock the cores. ?

1 . Boot screen showing the version of BIOS.

2.BIOS->Advance->CPU Configuration.

3. BIOS -> T-Series Tab

4. CPU details

5. Mobo Details

After looking at My BIOS option can anyone help me on how to unlock cores on my Biostar TA785G3 ?

Thanks
Kunal

Apparently revisions prior to rev6.3 have been locked out by Biostar on the more recent BIOS's from unlocking. According to Biostar, only rev6.3+ of that board can unlock.

However, apparently your board can unlock chips just fine, it's simply a BIOS limitation. There are not any modded BIOS's for your board, however I did find this secret page where Biostar keeps unlocking BIOS's for their boards: http://www.biostar-usa.com/app/en-us...king/model.htm

Download the right BIOS for your revision, flash it and you should see the ACC features in your BIOS.

Let us know.

I have already updated to the latest BIOS version mentioned by BIOSTAR on the page http://www.biostar-usa.com/app/en-us...king/model.htm
but still I am not able to see the ACC feature.

I guess I will have to wait till BIOSTAR releases a BIOS update for rev6.0 to 6.2

Is there any message during POST that says "Press F6 for Core Unlock or ACC Function" or anything like that?

I think you are just out of luck with the revision. The BIOS that the early boards shipped with allowed it, but apparently that BIOS isn't available anywhere.

Sorry EnJoy,

My mistake, in hurry of typing I miss lead the statement. What I wanted to say was "I am still not able to see the ACC feature".

After referring one of the post by FlawLez on http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=250170 , I tried the BIOS available at http://www.biostar.com.tw/app/en/mb/bios.php?S_ID=459 for (A785G3 mobo). After flashing the new BIOS I was able to see the ACC feature. After I enabled it I did receive the message "Press F3 or F4 to run BIO-UnlocKING". But then I received another error also saying "ACC function has failed." I am attaching the screen shots for reference.
1. BIO-UnLocking Enabled

2. ACC Failed

Is there any way I can fix this error ?

Thanks
Kunal

If it failed, that means your chip can't unlock.
