Two more Alpha series cameras are coming up and they both feature Sony's newly-introduced Translucent Mirror technology which enables higher levels of auto focus speed for both still image and movie shooting. The new cameras are known as a33 and a55 and will be released this fall.

Both cameras are powered by a BIONZ image processor and feature an Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor (14.2MP for the a33, 16.2MP for the a55), an ISO sensitivity range of ISO 100 to 12800, a 15-point AF system, a 3-inch (921,000 pixels) LCD with variable-angle tilt, Auto HDR, a 3D Sweep Panorama mode, and support for Memory Stick PRO Duo and SD/SDHC/SDXC cards.

The a33 ($650) can shoot continuously at up to 7 frames per sec and is set for a September release, while the a55 ($750) tops 10 fps and will arrive in October.
