Acer's first and currently only netbook based on Intel's Atom N550 dual-core chip, the Aspire One D255, has now went on sale in the US in four color versions - Black, Red, Aquamarine and Sandstone, and priced at $399.

This new Aspire One model packs the mentioned N550, a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) display, 1GB of RAM, GMA 3150 integrated graphics, a 250GB hard drive, SD and MMC card readers, 10/100 Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, a multi-gesture touchpad, and a 6-cell battery for up to 8 hours of operation.
