Not waiting on Microsoft, Samsung (via its Russian site) has went ahead and announced its first Windows Phone 7 product, the Omnia 7 (model GT-I8700) smartphone. This WP7 phone is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm QSD8250 chipset and features a 4-inch (800 x 480) Super AMOLED touchscreen.

Seen below, Samsung's smartphone measures 122.40 x 64.20 x 10.99 mm, weights 138 grams and also has a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash (720p recording is on-board), 8GB of internal storage, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and an FM radio with RMS. No word on pricing.
