Beside rolling out its first Sandy Bridge processors, Q1 is supposed to see Intel release a faster Pentium CPU based on the Westmere architecture, the Pentium G6960. This new chip is manufactured on 32nm technology and will work on LGA 1156 motherboards (following a BIOS update).

The G6960 has two cores @ 2.93 GHz, 3MB of L3 cache, an integrated DDR3 memory controller, a graphics core likely set to 533 MHz, and a TDP of 73W. Pricing info is missing but the CPU could debut at 87% like its predecessor
