Those worried about the Galaxy Tab's price competitiveness may be interested in an ad claiming that a WiFi-only version of the tablet will sell for $500 through US retailer Best Buy. At this price tag the Galaxy Tab is in-line with Apple's entry-level iPad (WiFi only, 16GB storage).

Samsung's device, which will reach the US next month, runs Android 2.2 and features a 7-inch (1024 x 600) touchscreen, a 1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor with PowerVR SGX540 graphics, 512MB of RAM, a microSD card slot, a front-facing 1.3 megapixel camera and a 3MP camera (720p-capable) with LED Flash and auto-focus at the back, Bluetooth 3.0 and 802.11n WiFi support.
