No Meagan Fox....The New X-former movie is great

The Transformer's latest Movie was viewed in my area at Midnight last night. My son of course went to see it.

The Transformers Movie Trilogy has all the right stuff. Tech, Girls, and Cars.. and of course all out war.. Thats the formula that makes this movie famous. The Newest Corvette was shown off in this movie.

First thing I asked him was about the Meagan Fox character. To my complete and utter surprise,He told me that she had been fired for bad mouthing the Director to another member of the set and the walls were really thin and the Director heard every word she said and he fired her right their on the spot for not being a Team Player.

Here is a shot of the new power Beauty.. Carley which is Sam Witwicky's new future wife at least on the Movie set.

Next. I asked him about the Plot.

He told me that the Plot line was really interesting and the Special Effects were amazing to say the least. He said that they brought in some new Transformers from the cartoon that had not been used in the past.

Well what about Meagan Fox I asked again. I could not get this picture out of my mind..

My son rolled his eyes and said that the Main character's new love interest (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley) Aka Carly and future wife will be the Victoria's Secret Model that the Director brought on board to replace Meagan. She must be awesome looking to replace Meagan Fox.

She IS!!

Another thing that he said was that the movie was just 15 mins shy of 3 hours long. And he waited until the last part of the Credits to see if a sequel was a comin. The Engineer wanted to go home and cut the credits short and he almost had a riot on his hands due to the true Tranformer's Crowd waiting for that last little snippit of movie that would indicate a sequal for sure.

Over all, My son is a very good critic on movies and if he said he liked it then it is worth going to see. He maybe see's three movies a year and for the most part his critiques on them have been dead on..

I haven't had the chance to see it yet, but hoping too this weekend.

I keep hearing people saying bad things about Rosie Huntington-Whiteley; and a lot of friends who are upset that Megan's character wasn't carried over.

I guess, a number of them, don't remember the 1986 Animated Film, and a certain little boy by the name of Daniel Witwicky.

Spike Witwicky, whom we all know is who Sam is based on, is depicted as Daniel's father. Well, then who was Daniel's mother?

Canonically, according to the GENERATION 1 Comics, Spike who was actually named Buster in the Comic versions, had a girl friend at the age of 15 whose name was Carly! Eventually, the two of them got married and had a child together, Daniel!

Eventually all three of them played a pivotal role in the rise of the HeadMasters; with Spike himself becoming part of Fortress Maximus; the largest Transformer toy ever produced to date... which I still have, all packed away in my parents attic somewhere!

I don't remember which Headmaster that Carly became a part of, I only remember it was depicted in the Comics but her "toy" was never actually made... for that matter... It wasn't until Spike was introduced as a Headmaster with Fortress Maximus that Marvel discovered they had a huge problem with the same character having two different names between the Comics and the Cartoons, and so started including Spike into the Comics.... Marvel fixed the problem by depicting Spike as Busters 'older brother' who had returned from College and became bonded with Fortress Maximus, but Buster never appeared again after that...

Mikaela was supposedly "based" on the original Generation 1 era Carly Character whom Spike fell for.

So.

Its good to see Sam and the "REAL" Carly, finally together, as they're supposed to be!

Grabbed this one on bluray the other day, and I was actually positively surprised
As it stands I think its the best one out of the three, have to watch it again to be sure, but I really enjoyed it the first run.

Awesome action scenes, that is to be expected. And it sure delivered on that front! But the sound impressed me the most, the trueHD track was flawless. Very clear dialog at all times, so no subs was needed which is a huge plus in my books. And during the action scenes it was just pure awesomeness This will be my new "demo" flick for sure. For BR collectors, I can highly recommend it.

Oh, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley sure delivered as well. Sceptical at first like most, but dang, that body will have you forget Fox in an instant ^^
