Well if this mythical user did set an i7 blazing for the top, more power to them!! I'm looking for someone to come along and realize it would be easy to knock my lone Q6600 from it's perch, even if it's had nearly a two month head start!!

We certainly need more advertising. Anyway we can do it would be good. I had asked ENJoY about posting up a small ad thread in the other forums. He didn't want to do that for reason of cluttering them up.

One thing to make sure we have in place is a good sig, something on the order of mine. Then when we post elsewhere, we are advertising by default. The team avatar does this too, although a lot of folks like to run their own avi. That's OK, as long as the sig is in place.

(I'd be happy to PM my sig text to whoever wants it.)

    Regards,
    Bob

    Hey guys,

just wanted to say hello to everyone! I put one of my machines on your team (Dual socket Dualcore Xeon@2Ghz, think 2x Yonah laptop CPUs on a server mobo) to help get you guys started. I want to thank bob123 for doing all the work and inviting me to join, so I can help by basically letting my rig do all the work

If you guys have any questions about WCG, BOINC, or DC in general, feel free to ask.

Now here's to a young but promising team TechReaction!

As I said at XS, thanks for coming by and helping out Jcool!
LMK if you want a team avatar. PM me an email addy and I'll send it over.

Good to see you posting up here. I'm not real strong on folding yet, as you know. So, if you see something there that needs attention, we would appreciate your input. I've only been folding for about 45 days now.

My hope is that this forum will grow and we'll get more members on the crunching teams. Growing DC in general is a good thing and maybe, just maybe, we can get a breakthrough on some of the diseases we work on. I'd like to get more folks that have never crunched before.

    Yay, cherry! Tasty!

As to folding, I tried to get my 4870X2 folding for about a year now, but always left again because something didn't work (2nd GPU not running, too high CPU utilisation, client crashing, causing choppy screen, etc) - since Cat 9,4 it all works for me, so I am folding now. Also joined the FAH team TR

So come on guys, surely you can beat my rig to the pie? It's from 2005!

We really need more members, it's no fun getting pie if there's no one to rob you of it!

Come on TR members, where are you!

Hehe, finally got home eraly enough tonight....

Congrats to Sniipe! Nice chunk of pie tonight....

And yes, I would like to see more TR folks join us too. It may take time. Since I'm doing the science anyway, and turning in WUs, I'm OK doing it in TR's name.

I hope this does become a viable forum. There are good folks here too..

2 rigs and the PS3 off line (~12-16 cents an hour adds up) the Lappy can run 24/7 and this system is up more than down so my scores will drop for now.
People that buy OEM systems think Linux was a Charlie Brown character, a registry is something you see at target to buy shower gifts, RAM is a Dodge truck and a hard drive is DC at rush hour.
