After seeing plenty of topics in various tech forums regarding the decision between the GTX480 or the HD5870, we figured it was time to chime in on the debate. With support from ASUS allowing us to review these two cards, the ENGTX480 and EAH5870, we have all of the information we need for this stand alone head-to-head. First off I would like to say, my name is Jason Jones and I’ve been involved with PC hardware for the past six or seven years, I’ve seen the AMD Althon XP’s come and embarrass the Intel offerings.
I’ve seen the Athlon 64’s come and embarrass the Intel Pentium D’s, and so on so fourth. Then the transitions from DDR to DDR2 and now as the processors and mainboards are evolving to DDR3.
